Jaundice patient querry.
I have jaundice .I had 8.6 20days ago .after 10 days it was 3.5.now the new report is yet to come ...but after 23 days of care and rest I have started a pinching pain right side but it was not earlier during starting period of jaundice when my situation was critical.explain it please.whenever I start walking around riding on bike it started pinching pain and also in sitting ...how many days I have to struggle with it ...plz sir with my humble request ...pz response as quickly as u can .urgent

Jaundice Jaundice is a yellowish discoloration of the skin and mucous membranes caused by hyperbilirubinemia. Jaundice becomes visible when the bilirubin level is about 2 to 3 mg/dL (34 to 51 μmol/L). SX – Fever, malaise, myalgias, changes in stool color, pruritus, steatorrhea, and abdominal pain (including location, severity, duration, and radiation). Important symptoms suggesting severe disease include nausea and vomiting, weight loss, and possible symptoms of coagulopathy (eg, easy bruising or bleeding, tarry or bloody stools). PE – Eyes (icterus). Skin (jaundice). Abdomen (hepatomegaly, splenomegaly).
Next Steps
DX – CBC. Hepatitis panel. LFTs, Bilirubin. • Imaging (X-Ray, U/S).
Health Tips
TX – Admit to hospital for further diagnostic work-up and management. Tx depends on etiology.
