Your baby’s yellow skin (jaundice) is because her liver is still learning to clear properly. Sometimes, certain things in breast milk can slow down how quickly bilirubin leaves the body, so the yellow color lasts longer. This is called breast milk jaundice, and it usually gets better on its own with regular feeding. It’s important to keep feeding her well and follow up with pediatrician to make sure she stays healthy and her bilirubin improves.
