My mom is 63 years of age in the month of march she was complaining about the itching and a rash on the skin gynaecologist adviced for a blood sugar test It was shocking to her to see her test as 7.1 in Hb1ac she have started controlling the diet by removing tea , rice etc but still today also on our one select machine her report is 162 in fasting she is adviced to take glycomet 500 Kindly adviced what should I do she is completely depressed since the day she is aware of Diabaties Her weight is 104 and height is 160 cms

She is diabetic but you have managed to detect it at an early stage. Diet , exercise and weight loss will help a lot to control it but medicines are also required. Glycomet is a good medicine to start with. Removing tea and rice is not the way to control sugar. She wil need to have a systematic plan from your doctor/dietician for a gradual weight loss.
