Itching in head or skull
My son is 8 months old. He has dandruff or something on his skull. He itches his head when he is angry, hungry or sleepy. Tries to remove that thing on his skull by his finger nails. His whole hair gets dirty due to his itching. It's something like a little hard flat substance. Do I need to give him any medicine.

It could probably be seborrhoea. Leaving oil on the scalp for long periods can aggravate this condition contrary to the normal belief, however you may apply a towel dipped in olive oil on the scalp for 15-30 minutes and then wash off the scalp with a mild shampoo... You can wash the scalp daily with a mild daily shampoo. Consult a doctor if it doesn't improve with this
