Issue with menstrual cycle and a cyst.

Since she was admitted to the hospital,she hasn't got her normal menstrual cycle, (which is since may ) . It's been two momths. Previous to which she did get regular periods accompanied by quite heavy flow and pain. (Which didn't happen before she attained the age of 49-50)(it was less painful earlier) On 17 June she had a pain/a vibrative sensation ,somewhat like a cramp in her abdomen just below her belly button close to her vagina. She thought it could be period cramps.but it didn't happen. Now post covid we went for a regular ultrasound in which a cyst in her right ovary was discovered ,5.1 cms. Is this cyst the cause of her not getting her regular periods also can I cure this cyst at home ? (The doctor of medicine dept. Of the hospital I referred to said it was nothing to worry about and prescribed no medications) And how can I induce a period.and will getting a period flush out the cyst ? Please tell me some home remedies!
