Is there anyway that I can get hiv from cutting my finger on an exposed screw in a dryer at a public laundry mat? Thank you, Ashley

It is unlikely that you'll get HIV by cutting your finger on an exposed screw in a dryer at a public laundry mat, although you re more likely to get tetanus, so if you haven't taken a TT injection in 6 months I would advise you to visit the ER and get a TT injection. Wash the wound thoroughly with soap and other antiseptics and get it dressed if it's big
