Is it safe to take luprodex 11.25

I m 32 yrs old .m married anf a mother of 4.5 yrs old daughter. I had laparoscopic surgery done on 3/1/18 for endemetriois in rt ovary...the size of endemetriois was 3.3cm. my gnyc prescribed luprodex 11.25 to stop my periods for next 3 months. But after reading on Google tht the side effects of the injection is very bad in long term. Is it necessary to take the injection immediately after laparoscopic surgery??? What are the side effects of injection as related to my health???
