It cannot prevent pregnancy all the time. Pill has high failure rate and pregnancy can happen despite taking the pill. Do a urine pregnancy test if you miss your period date.

It's taken to prevent unwanted pregnancy only in emergency cases when contraceptive failure has occurred . It prevents most of the time but it has failure rates of 2-5%. It causes irregular periods and can cause delay in periods too as side effects. Do urine pregnancy test if you miss your periods by 4-5 days
