Hi my son is 8 month, in my recent visit to his paediatric, he adviced I should give him the influenza vaccine. Kindly guide me if the influenza vaccine is really effective for babies and is it compulsory? Are there any side effects after giving this vaccine and is my son at the rite age for this vaccine?

Influenza is a optional vaccine
2doses should be given with 4wks apart after months (1st at 6months and 2nd at 7months)
And thereafter every yearly
It protect baby from influenza virus (swine flu)
It's always better to give influenza vaccine.
