My father, age 51 is a post
liver transplant patient. In February he was found to have infected with aspergillus. In diagnosis he went through a contrast CT which did not give much details and therefore bronchoscopy was done in which galactomanan test for aspergillus was +ve.
Now to know that if the fungus problem is still there, doctor is suggesting for HRCT.
Is HRCT safe since I heard that frequent CT scans are hazardous? Isn't bronchoscopy a better option to diagnose the issue?
Please guide me.
