Is fertility test required for PCOD ??
I have PCOD consulted doctor for the same my FSH is 5.4 and LH is 15.6 and AMH is normal and am not trying for pregnancy but not sure my doctor is asking me to take all kind of fertility test for me and for my husband like HSG, Pelvic scan , sperm test etc , Are these tests even required ????

If you are not trying for pregnancy then not needed. But pcod can lead to infertility

You have quite a bit of hormonal imbalance for which you need to start on medication, along with lifestyle modification- exercise and balanced diet. It’s better to have a baseline pelvis scan done. But if you’re not planning for pregnancy anytime in the near future you can wait to do the HSG and semen analysis.

Semen analysis might have been advised to check to see if any issues with husbands sperm that might need medication- which normally takes 2-3 months to have effect.
