Is Augmentin 625 okay 3 times a day
I consulted with a pediatrician for my daughter suffering from severe wheezing, chest congestion back neck pain, since 15 days..I live in gurgaon pollution.so she prescribed this medicine. For 5 days 3 times everyday. Please let me know is it safe for her to give such high dosage?

The dose of any drug in children depends upon the weight of the child. So it will be helpful if you mention the weight of the child. However on an average, for a 9 year this dose is appropriate.

Generally that highdose is needed , what is the weight of your child , if she arround or above 40kg , 625 mg twice daily is sufficient

You have not mentioned your daughter’s weight but at 9 years of age she must be 30 kg
So augmentin 625 three times a day is good

yes ideally it is recommended 3 times only . So dont worry he must be more than 30 kg you can give this dose
