Is a cardi CT scan better than angiogram
My mother has diabetes for the past 15 years. She has chest pain at one particular place, sometimes or back pain.  She has undergone an echo test that looks normal. But in the TMT test, she was informed that she might have blockage. It's not confirmed.   To check the accuracy, the doctor suggested going for anjogram. While looking into the angio procedure, it looks more scary than the treatment. Is it mandatory to go for an angio rather if we have any alternatives as a cardiac CT scan. Please suggest. I don't want my mom to suffer this much pain..

CT angio is as good as an invasive one if only meant for diagnostic use. Rather if there are no high risk features we prefer a ct angio to avoid pain to the patient.
