Irritated cervix
My wife is 26 weeks preganant. Yesterday she has a mild spotting(tinge of pink) and we went to the gynaecologist today. She examined the cervix with speculum and said that the cervix is a bit irritated and red. She has given some microbiotics capsules for one month. What should be advisable in this case. Please dont give consulation advice as we are living abroad.

Cervix being irritated and red is quite common in pregnancy. You can just ask the patient to avoid exertion and take rest. The spotting is not going to affect baby. Regarding the medication prescribed, you will have to share more information for me to comment
