Irritable bowel sindrome
My wife 27 ,gall bladder removed 2 years back and acute pancreatitis patient ,from last 2 months she is in depression with family issues , neuro physician given serta 25 mg tablet ,but from last 15 days she is going motions 5-6 times a day ,no pain ,no loose motions ,neuro physician said do once thyiord test if it is normal ,go and meet gastroenterologist ,
Please tell me what is meaning of bowel sindrome ,is it serious problem ,we can control with medicine , please please tell us.

Looking at history it looks like Irritable bowel syndrome
It is a non harming non life threatening illness but one has to rule out other serious problems by doing a physical exam and Scopy
