“Doctor, I have PCOD, but before taking an i-pill my menstrual cycles were regular (25–30 days). About 3 months ago, I took an i-pill, and since then for the last 3 months I’ve been experiencing increased irritability, excessive sleepiness, constant fatigue, constipation with gas, and heaviness after eating almost anything. My periods have become irregular, occurring every 15 days, and they now end with brown spotting, which did not happen earlier. These symptoms started only after the i-pill. I would like to know if this is due to hormonal imbalance related to the emergency pill and PCOD, and what tests or treatment are needed.”
