Irregular and painful cycle after sex

My SO was abroad for 10 months and I didn't have intercourse that entire time but was having regular periods. A few weeks after he had returned and we had intercourse (condoms, no contraceptive), I got my period on time, but it only lasted 2 days & was debilitatingly painful to the point of vomiting. Now I'm 2 weeks late for this (subsequent) cycle, negative for pregnancy, but am having weight gain & breast tenderness. Can sex after a long period of abstinence cause this?
