Iron deficiency in infant
My son is 6 months old birth weight -2.750 kg and now weight-7.5 kg It seems to have dark circles( pic attached) below eyes since he was 1.5 to 2 months old He is otherwise active Has good sleep entire night..and 3 naps of 1-2 hours in morning He is a fully breastfed baby..will start solid after few days pee count is good always above 12 to sometimes 17 Is this iron deficiency? Or something of concern?

Need to find out why pee count is sometimes 17 times??? If child has completed 6 months...then should start complementary feeding without delay.. Iron deficiency won't cause dark circles...

Please visit, nearby pediatrician for the examination of baby , weight is normal , don't worry , if necessary baby will be started on hematinic after confirmation about anemia

Hi, Dark circles are not due to anaemia.
