Insufficient milk production of mother

Asked for Male, 32 Years

My wife is not able to produce sufficient milk for my 4 month old son,what can we do in such a situation?Can he be fed with lukewarm water,we are thinking to crush the raw rice into powdered form from a mixer,heat the powder and mix with lukewarm water to be fed.

You can top up with formula if you think her milk is insufficient. She can also take certain supplements to help increase her milk supply. You need to consult her doctor for that. Kindly do not start giving anything other than mother's milk or formula before baby turns 6 mo old
