It's great that your friend took both the HIV tests-which are fairly reliable. It is natural to feel a fear and anxiety around this given that there is a lot of taboo around this. In case your friend feels that the test could by any chance be faulty- taking one more test after 3-4 months can put there mind at ease. You can also support your friend in overcoming the fear of HIV infection by encouraging them to discuss their fears to rationalize them and by helping them educate themselves. Your friend must also practice safe sex in the future, get regular tests done in case of more than 1 partner to avoid future risk and can also consider counseling or support groups to address any lingering concerns.
