Infant Spilling Milk
Hi, My baby girl is 2 years 15 days old and she is on breast feed. At times, she spills out milk while feeding, during burping and after burping too. Is it something to worry about? Please advice Her weight is also a concern for us. She is 2 yrs 15 days old with 4.100 Kg in weight....Her birth weight was 3.250 Kg. Is the weight gain rate normal or a concern? By how many inches by size and by weight a baby infant should grow on monthly basis? What is normal weight and under weight size in infants?

Hi there, I think it is a typing mistake, you wanted to mention 2 months & 15 days. IF I AM GUESSING RIGHT -- , then the normal wt gain for this age is appox 20- 30 gms/day. So she has gained wt but a little below the normal. Are you having good milk secretion? Most important is proper latching & position during feeding. As she is vomiting during feeds or during burping, it may be that she is swallowing a lot of air during feeding. If you can connect me on video chat , I can explain you the correct way of breast feeding, latching & position.
