Increased sgpt in pregnancy

Asked for Female, 35 Years

My wife is into 4th month of pregnancy. Recently she developed itching in hands and feet, neck etc. Doctor advised test of Bilirubin and SGPT. Report shows Bilirubin is okay but SGPT is very high at 451. What does this Indicate, is there any harm to fetus, kly advise...

Get done a fasting serum bile acid level. If it's less than 40 micromol/ l . Then No risk to fetus. Start taking udiliv 300 mg thrice daily . In obstetric cholestasis 10 -25 fold rise occur in sgpt n sgot. That's what is happening in your case.
