Increase in dosage from 2.5 mg to 5mg BP

Hi, I am 37 years old male taking medicine Asomex 2.5 mg for high BP. My 2.5 mg tablets are over and I cannot get it as I am staying in Qatar. Here I consulted one doctor and he prescribed me Norvasc 5 MG. Is it safe for me to take this medicine. Thanks,

Hello, Increasing dose of amlodipine is justified if your bp is not controlled on 2.5 mg. I need to know your BP for deciding. Take care
