Increase bilirubin in new born baby
My baby was born on 2nd Jan. Weight was 3.2 kg. On 11th jan, weight is 3.5 kg. He had total bilirubin value of 18 on 7th jan. As per suggestion by doctor, we did photo therapy for next 24 hr in NICU. Value was reduced to 10 . Have done the LFT test again on 11th jan, now value has been increased to 12.4. Consulted with the doctor but no satisfactory answer. He said all ok and visit after 7 days. Mother and baby both having A+ blood group. Baby is taking breast feed as well as formula feed. Want to understand the reason for the increased value again. All other reports are ok as per doctor. Thanks
