A raised IgE level only indicates an allergic tendency and can fluctuate significantly over time. An increase from 3000 to 6000 does not necessarily mean the allergy has worsened, especially if your child has remained symptom-free without infections or wheezing during these 2 months. Montelukast (Montair) helps control allergy symptoms but does not directly reduce IgE levels. Treatment is guided by the child’s symptoms rather than the IgE number alone. If your child is otherwise doing well, there is usually no need to repeat IgE levels frequently. Please consult your pediatrician/allergist for clinical evaluation and, if needed, further allergy testing.
Next Steps
Follow up with the treating pediatrician/allergist and discuss whether any allergy triggers, eczema, allergic rhinitis, or asthma symptoms are present.
Health Tips
Total IgE alone should not be used to monitor treatment response. Clinical symptoms are much more important than the IgE value itself.

IgE level will fluctuate so don't worry.Usually babies till 5-7 years of age get allergy response from anything like dust, contact with allergens so ige will be higher side. But if no symptoms then no issues and have physical examination of baby also from doctor and If that's also normal then no problem
Greetings
IgE level of 6,000 IU/mL in a 4.5-year-old is significantly elevated and suggests a high state of allergic sensitization or other underlying conditions. This increase can occur due to new allergen exposures, parasitic infections, or certain skin conditions like eczema, even if outward symptoms like wheezing are controlled by Montair. Management typically focuses on identifying triggers through allergy testing, using antihistamines or corticosteroids, and treating any underlying infections.
