Reducing weight should be done by duel approach. 1. Exercise and 2. Dietary changes.
1. Exercise: A. Strength training - to increase muscle mass - do weight training or power yoga. B. Aerobic activity - do jogging, running, cycling, swimming or ground activity. C. Endurance training - repeated activities - push ups, pull ups, squats, lunges, crunches etc. D. Stretches and relaxing exercises like yogasanas.
2. Dietary changes: High protein, high fiber and low carb, low fat diet. Take small meals every 2_3 hourly. Total calories consumed during the day should be less than your present consumption.
Restricting only diet will make your metabolism sluggish and your body unfit.

Hi....., Consider dietary changes. Low-fat, high-carbohydrate diets may increase insulin levels, so you may want to consider a low-carbohydrate diet ..
Limit less healthy, simple carbohydrates such as soda, excess fruit juice, cake, candy, ice cream, pies, cookies and doughnuts....
