I want to confirm my pregnancy

Hi I am having all early pregnancy symptoms but m also getting my periods which are very lighter & last only for a day or 2, is it while pregnant we bleed. Should I take pregnancy test @ home or do I need to see Dr, I am worried bcoz I do drink & smoke. I have read online that it is possible that women do bleed throughout their pregnancy & it’s called implantation bleeding. Is that correct?? Plz advice
