Hymen can get torn but it needs to be seen as to whether it is really torn or just lax. ONLY a examination by a gynecologist can help you check this up. Even if it is torn, the hymen can be "repaired" only for name sake. It is really not possible to make it like before, but some thing can be done. For this you may visit your Gynecologist or a Plastic Surgery doctor, who will help you But before all this if a simple examinaiton by the gynecologist can make you aware about your hymen status, and if it is Okay in shape and situation, nothing may be needed to be done.

Even in girls who have not had sex. Hymen can get torn by use of Tampons, or while doing sports like cycling, gymnastics etc......so there is NO need to think that a hymen repair is always needed, if you can convince your "would be husband about it"........and he may not be interested in it also.....The resistance which a man feels at First sex with virgin is not only due to the hymen but also due to the paravaginal muscles which can cause the vagina to become narrower.. Learning Kegel's exercises can strengthen these muscles and give you good control over them to use at sex to enhance the pleasure of the act for both of you.
