I missed my period for 11 days

Asked for Female, 23 Years

After unprotected sex a day before my period stars I took emergency pill. I missed my period 11 days ,When I took a pregnancy home test it said am negative what could be the problem could I be pregnant and should I take a step towards it if it turns out to be positive.
