I think you had fractured teeth, and problem was esthetics .
Now if problem is because of caries we usually clean cavity and do fillings but in case of fracture tooth we make grooves on surface so that fillings get retention .
Next Steps
Go for iopa xray maybe you may need rct followed by crown.

Hello,
Matter of concern for us is that it is front tooth and fractured. It must have undergone trauma. It is very important to rule out for RCT for future concern. Go for an x-ray.
Dont delay the treatment.
If possible you can take second opinion from nearby endodontist.
Check if there is pain in the tooth after ur treatment, get the Xray done,if caries extended till root then go for root canal treatment with crown capping.
Visit dentist get xray done. If fracture is extended to pulp then its better to get root canal and cap done. I can see discoloration of tooth so mostly it needs rct still confirm with x ray. Many times patient wont get pain but there will be infection in bone leading to cyst so better be sure with x ray.
IOPA radiograph and consult freshly with some other dentist.

It’s a fracture tooth not a normal cavity better have a X-ray and see whether urs teeth got infected Upto root or not or any sensitivity problem from hot and cold than visit a dentist near u and have a rct with crown
Get a second opinion regarding the treatment sir. In my opinion an iopa(x Ray) of the fractured tooth is needed to confirm the diagnosis and treatment plan.
