Hi, My wife is 7 week pregnant and her TSH level is 8.75, and gynecologist has given her Thyrinorm 50 mg. So just wanted to confirm is it save during pregnancy and is there any thing I need to do to make sure the baby growth is proper.

Your present TSH level warrants treatment during pregnancy. The target level during pregnancy (1st three months) should be below 2.5. The medication given by your gynaecologist is safe and correct. The dosage would depend on subsequent TSH levels.
