Hi...My friend has 23yrs and married,when she take blood test 2 months back ,the TSH3 value is 5.4 so the gynaecologist prescribed her medicine of 12.5mcg thyroxine as she has hypothyroid.she continues till 2 months and when she take test recently and in that report the TSH3 is increased to 9.4.why it increases ?Can it possible?Is 5.4 tsh3 value indicates hypothyroid?? Can she stop or continue the medication?? Any side effects if continue or stop?? Plzzz suggest

Both the levels indicate subclinical hypothyroidism. She should get a blood test done called as anti microsomal antibodies/ anti TPO antibodies and visit a doctor specializing in thyroid disorders for a clear understanding. Currently, she should continue the treatment.
