Hypertension and High Blood Pressure
My husband (33 years old , Height - 5'10 , Weight - 71 Kg) has a high blood pressure. His systolic blood pressure generally ranges from 160-190 and diastolic range from 110-135  This problem has been prevailing since 5-6 years. He has visited many doctors such as cardiologists, neurologist, nephrologist etc. and done many tests including Colour Doppler , Ultrasound, KFT , LFT , ECG , Echo etc but all the reports came normal. The doctor writes a tablet to be taken in case the BP goes up. What could be the core reason behind this frequent high blood pressure??? Is there any specialist in this field who can help us and assure a better recovery and regulation??? Additionally is there any food item that he should add/subtract to his diet to lower the risk of high BP .

Hi, BP readings like this in a young man with normal tests improve with steady lifestyle tweaks. Cut salt sharply, add more fruits and veggies, and ensure good sleep and activity. Feel free to consult for further guidance.

Hey, Based on the history you have provided, your husband needs regular antihypertensive medications and lab reports like Lipid profile, KFT, LFT, Blood glucose, Hba1c, ecg and echocardiography ( if ecg is suspicious ) etc
Next Steps
Reduce excess salt, oil in diet. Reduce alcohol, smoking and control weight if bmi is high. Excercise atleast 30 mins daily. Check bp twice daily ( avoid coffee, smoking and exercise before checking bp atleast 1 hour).
Health Tips
Hypertension can lead to many complications if left untreated. Share the reports and Tell me the medications he's taking.

BP of 160-190/110-135 at 33 years of age that has persisted for 5-6 years with normal cardiac, renal, and vascular workup is most likely Primary (Essential) Hypertension — which means high BP without a single identifiable cause, driven by a combination of genetics, lifestyle, stress, and hormonal factors. However, at this severity and age, a few conditions are still worth re-investigating: aldosteronism (adrenal hormone excess), pheochromocytoma (adrenal tumour), and sleep apnoea — as these can be missed in routine workups.
Next Steps
Please consult me directly on Practo for a detailed evaluation — I can review his full history and guide whether additional hormonal tests (serum aldosterone, 24-hour urine metanephrines) are warranted before committing to long-term medication management.

LOT OF DOCTORS  U VIST ALL TEST NORMAL BUT NO DOCTOR  PRESCIBE REGULAR MEDICINE????? DO NOT KNOW WHY? HE IS A CASE OF PRI HYPERTENSION.  SO FIRST THING LOW SALT DIET. NO BHUJIA PAPAPD, PICKLE FRYAMS OR SOO. ADD WALK AT LEAST 40 MIN.IN SHORT CHANGE LIFE STYLE N DIET PLAN DRASTICALLY FIRST.  ITS NOT AT ALL GOOD TO PRESCRIBE ANY MEDICINE IN OPEN  ON LINE PLATFORM. STRESS OVERTHINKING OVERLOAD OF WORK LACK OF SLEEP TO BE CONSIDERED. YET I SUGGEST ONCE  VISIT TO  SUPERSPECIALIST LIKE MD PHYSICIAN  WITH REPORTS HE JUST EXAMINE  N DECIDE.

In most cases hypertension causes are unknown and its sometimes genetically related or some comorbidity. But according to you all tests are normal then we have one chance to control and regulate the bp .so follow dash diet -you can Google it .and its still not control then medicine is alternate mode.

I am surprised that even though your husband has consulted all Super specialists no one has told him that the medicine for hypertension is taken regularly in the prescribed dosage as advised by the Doctor. You don't adjust the dose of the medicine by taking BP recording in the morning. Please take the medicine regularly in spite of the BP reading. Your BP will settle down within a month.
