Hypertension 170/100

Asked for Male, 34 Years

My mother is 63 years old.. She is taking Telma CT and Betagard 25 for the past 3 months.. She is hypertensive for past 4 years. Does she need any other tests or medication . Her BP fluctuate from 170 to 150 in a day.. kindly advise..

Betagard is not a effective anti hypertensive when it is given only as a anti hypertensive Continue telma CT She will need a CCB to better control her BP. Get a consult. Do renal function test ,ultrasound abdomen , urine routine, thyroid profile if not previously done
