For making him to study also he get frequently distracted and less focussed but he remembers the answers correctly. He feel lazy to respond to others. He also have keen interest in lights and fans and always wants to on and off them or hit the lights with balls. Some say this is normal for kids but I am worried of his behaviour if he has any disorder or can we take ayurvedic treatment for this. Please help.

Hi I’m a developmental Pediatrician. From what you have explained to us it looks like your child has some issues. But to understand clearly where exactly the issue is you need to consult a developmental Pediatrician in your locality.
Next Steps
Meet a developmental Pediatrician in your area.

From how long does he have these symptoms? To diagnose as ADHD, child should be having consistent symptoms for more than 6months and in 2 different settings (eg. in school and home). So children around this age tend to learn by exploring things and might look little hyperactive.
Next Steps
If the symptoms are consistent in 2 different settings and are for >6months Seek an evaluation from Neuro-developmental pediatrician or neurologist.

Greetings 7-year-old child whose behaviors, such as humming, high activity levels, social withdrawal, and a preoccupation with lights and fans, appear consistent with neurodivergent patterns. These specific traits resemble characteristics often seen in Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), ADHD, or Sensory Processing Disorder, though a professional evaluation is necessary to determine the cause. To support your child's development, it is essential to consult a pediatrician or a child psychologist who can provide a formal assessment and tailored guidance. Regarding your question about Ayurveda, it is sometimes used alongside traditional approaches like Occupational Therapy or Behavioral Therapy, but any treatment should be managed by a qualified healthcare provider. Early intervention and structured support are key to helping him focus better and navigate social interactions more comfortably.
