HSV-1 in vaginal area - can it go away”?
Hi! 8 months ago, I was diagnosed with HSV-1 after my then boyfriend had cheated on me. I am wondering if it is possible that the body “cures itself” of herpes? I have had one initial outbreak, and one very mild recurring outbreak. The last outbreak was approximately 4 months ago and I have had no symptoms or outbreaks since. I was also given antiviral medication to take during outbreaks. I’m going to get myself tested again soon, but I’m wondering if it can disappear?

Generally mild viral infection will disappear with good nutrition and immunity .Also do get it tested..
