HSG test for infertility
My doctor has prescribed 2 kits of naco kit 1 for husband and kit 6 for myself which has cefixime 400 single dose and metronidazole 400 and doxy 100 mg BD for 14 days . It is heavy antibiotic and is prescribed even when I don't have any infection right now. Should i take it or skip it and go direct for HSG with anaesthesia? Will it harm my body if i keep taking it ? No other doctors prescribe medications before HSG why did she prescribe? Please help.

This question needs to be put 4th to the doctor who has prescribed you antibiotics because it is he who has examined you
Ideally before HSg antibiotic should definitely be prescribed before and after
