Hello Children aged 1–5 years typically need 400–600 IU/day of Vitamin D for bone health and growth. This is usually met through diet, fortified foods, sunlight exposure, and sometimes daily supplements The sachet you mentioned is a therapeutic dose, not a daily supplement. It may be prescribed in cases of confirmed Vitamin D deficiency, rickets, or low serum Vitamin D levels. Typically given once a week for 6 weeks, followed by maintenance dose, only if advised by a doctor.
Next Steps
If the child is healthy and growing well: Routine low-dose supplementation is enough. If they are concerned about deficiency (delayed walking, bow legs, etc.), they should consult a pediatrician and get Vitamin D levels tested before giving high-dose sachets.
Health Tips
If unsupervised - Overdose can cause toxicity, leading to: Vomiting, poor appetite, constipation Increased thirst or urination Elevated calcium levels (hypercalcemia), kidney issues

Vitamin D3 60,000 IU sachet is typically reserved for treatment of deficiency, not for routine use in healthy toddlers. For a 1.5-year-old child, the recommended daily allowance is 400–600 IU/day. If deficiency is confirmed by blood test (25(OH)D < 20 ng/mL), then 60,000 IU sachet can be given once weekly for 6 weeks, followed by a maintenance dose. If no deficiency is documented, it’s better to use daily drops (400–600 IU) as maintenance. Overuse of high-dose sachets may lead to toxicity.
Next Steps
Best would be to give maintenance until you visit the pediatrician

No please don't give vitamin D3 60k granules to a child. It is very high dose. Visit a pediatrician. Only if they advise, it can be given. Bad side effects can occur if given without reason
