Dear practo user Dark gums are caused due to the presence of the pigment melanin. Just like the color of skin is determined by the pigments, similarly, the gums too vary in color. We can make the gums lose their pigments by a process called abrasion. But this is temporary and the pigments return, so this is not a permanent solution. For the gaps, orthodontic treatment is the best.
Next Steps
consult a periodontist for your gums and an orthodontist for your gaps

Hello, There is a procedure of laser depigmentation of gums. You can go to your nearest dentist and get it done. However,  the effects are not permanent as the natural pigmentation  of your gums will show up after sometime. So you will need to get it done again when the effect starts to wear off.
