How do you get preg when you miss a pill

I am not yet ready to get pregnant again since i already have a 2 yr old boy. But im anxious that im pregnant now. I perfectly used 28 day pack pill for more than a year and proven effective to me. However, i missed 2 pills in a row last time and had unprotected sex. Even i took emergency pill, how is it possible for me to get pregnant? They said that you will get pregnant when u ovulate on the day u had sex. But they also said that it will take weeks before u ovulate after stopping pills.
