How can I help my obese friend

My flatmate is seriously obese he sleeps 16 hours every day, gets up eats, very rarely leaves the house. He has shortness of breath, shouts in his sleep. If I buy any food he will eat the whole lot in one sitting. It's getting worse and worse. How can I help him?
