Persistent bad breath, also known as halitosis, can be caused by various factors. Here are some steps you can take to help improve your breath: Maintain Good Oral Hygiene: Brush your teeth at least twice a day and floss daily to remove food particles and plaque that can contribute to bad breath. Clean Your Tongue: Use a tongue scraper or your toothbrush to gently clean your tongue. Bacteria and debris can accumulate on the tongue's surface and contribute to bad breath. Stay Hydrated: Drinking water helps to keep your mouth moist and can help prevent dry mouth, which can contribute to bad breath. Avoid Certain Foods: Foods like onions, garlic, and spicy foods can contribute to bad breath. Try to minimize their consumption, especially before social interactions. Quit Smoking: If you smoke, consider quitting. Smoking can contribute to bad breath and other oral health issues. Regular Dental Checkups: Visit your dentist regularly for checkups and cleanings. They can identify any underlying dental issues that might be contributing to bad breath. Address Dental Issues: Cavities, gum disease, and oral infections can cause bad breath. If you have any dental problems, seek prompt treatment. Use Mouthwash: An antimicrobial mouthwash can help kill bacteria that cause bad breath. However, avoid alcohol-based mouthwashes, as they can contribute to dry mouth. Chew Sugarless Gum: Chewing sugarless gum can help stimulate saliva production and keep your mouth moist. Manage Dry Mouth: If you have dry mouth, it's important to address it. Dry mouth can lead to bad breath. Stay hydrated, and consider using saliva substitutes or products designed to alleviate dry mouth. Watch Your Diet: Eating a balanced diet rich in fruits, vegetables, and whole grains can contribute to better oral health and fresher breath. If you've tried these steps and your bad breath persists, it's a good idea to consult with a dentist or a healthcare professional. They can help identify any underlying causes and recommend appropriate treatments. Remember that maintaining good oral hygiene practices and addressing any dental issues are key to preventing and reducing bad breath.

Please visit a dentist. Get your oral hygiene evaluated and see if you are in need of a professional cleaning. Ask the dentist to teach you proper brushing technique. Start using mouth wash regularly (not daily). Learn flossing. Do it regularly. May be just once a week. Check for decayed teeth and GI upset.
Next Steps
Brush twice daily with soft bristled tooth brush
