Hirsutism and Laser treatment
I am a 26 year old woman with regular menstrual cycles. I have coarse black hair on my chest and stomach and thick black hair on the back of my neck, back and chin. This is not hereditary - no-one else in my immediate family is affected. I'm considering laser treatment but I'm concerned that I have hirsutism and that the problem is hormonal and laser treatment will not be a permanent solution. What are my options? Is there a specific type of laser I should be looking at?

Hello there. I can understand your concern. That will only deal with the hairs which you have. What you should actually be doing is getting it checked out by a endocrinologist in person and treat what's causing it. Best regards. Dr. Anil Kumar Jain. Bangalore.
