Having tight muscles of hip can lead to such pain.In chronic cases trigger points or in general terms knots develop in muscles which are in constant use this gives pain. Consult a physio for this who is good at cupping and dry needling techniques. This is completely curable.

Is she suffering from back pain also? What is her occupation? What is the activity that aggravates her pain and what is the activity that calms down her pain? Any history of trauma?
Next Steps
Consult an orthopedician nearby. You might need physiotherapy after that.
