High WBC count - 23000 at discharge time
Hi, My daughter 4.5years suffering from fever from 18th last week Monday Night onwards. Fever ranges from 99-100.5 for every 6hrs and we have  given CALPOL 250 for every 6hrs and OXIPOD antibiotic daily twice. No improvement in fever  till Saturday almost 6 days and it's still maintaining 100 degrees for every 6hrs even after above doses. We have done the blood test on Last Saturday CRP - 6 and WBC count - 23000. Admitted in Rainbow and given CEFTRIAXONE antibiotic injection daily twice starting from last week Saturday Night 23rd Dec and there is no fever observed from Sunday night onwards 24th night onwards and still continued above injection till Tuesday morning i.e 26th Morning and took the blood test and discharged with below  count CRP - 3 and WBC count - 23000 ( no change before and after admission) Oral medication after discharge - Azithromycin syrup daily once for 3 days. I AM VERY MUCH WORRIED ABOUT WBC COUNT STILL AND HOW LONG IT WILL TAKE TO SETTLE DOWN. PLEASE HELP 🙏
