Hello m a nursing mother of a 19 month old baby and I casually tested my enzymes test done in which I came to know I have slightly increased lipase in my blood . My question ,do lactative mother's lipase enzymes increased , I test my usg also it is normal plz answer

High lipase and amylase levels are usually indicative of pancreatic dysfunction in pregnant or lactate state.
Sr. Amylase upto 140 U/L normal
Sr. Lipase upto 160U/L normal
If levels vary beyond these then should think of pancreatic dysfunction and should evaluate further.
