High fever

Asked for Female, 7 Years

My daughter have high fever from three days up to the 103-104 degree. After taking medicine fever come down for some time. CBC test carried out hb - 10.4, neutrofhile - 72, lymphocytes - 26, monocyte - 02, eosinophil - 00, platelet count - 376, rbc - 32.4, malarial parasite not seen. Please advice.

Hi Its impotant to evaluate the cause for fever to be either bacterial or viral origin … viral origin will have persistent high fever inspite of anti pyretics for a week or more and is self resolving … bacterial origin needs proper workup.
