High fever
Hi Doctor, My Son is 9 month old and he is having a fever doctor nearby our house prescribed pcm fo him. We have given him two dosages still his fever is 100.7°f, do we still need to see a doctor or Shall we wait please advise!!

Most of the fever in children are due to viral illness.. Continue pcm every 4-6 hourly.if fever is continuously high . Give normal water singing if temperature is more than 102 f. . onsult doctor for test and advice if fever persists longer .

Hello. Please follow the prescription correctly . If fever is not settling (even if not completely reduced it should be coming down slowly) and continues to be at a high temperature even after 2-3 days , visit your Pediatrician.
Next Steps
Record temperature and give paracetamol according to prescription. Give plenty of fluids Watch for your child’s urine output. Take to a hospital immediately if urine output has significantly come down / child is drowsy .
