High Eosinophelia 30%
Doctor has prescribed "Veenat 100 mg" (1-0-0 x15) for high eosinophelia of 30%. I read that Veenat is used for treating cancer and classified as chemotheraphy drug. Howewer, Dr. said I do not have cancer. When I approached another Doctor with all the medical records for 2nd opinion, he disapproved Veenat and instead prescribed Thyrox 25mg a day. I have IGT, Hypercholesterolemia and borderline Hashimotoes Thyroidities since two years. High eosinophelia diagnosed recently.

Medical field is a complex world and you should not expect your doctor to teach you 30 yrs of knowledge in 10 minutes of consultation. Indeed we do prescribe Imatinib(veenat) for hyper eosinophilia but usual suspect for eosinophilia should be rule out first such as parasitic infection .many autoimmune disease can have high eosinophils. Seek an expert doctor.
