High Amniotic fluid
Hi doctor, I am in my 31 weeks of pregnancy and in my yesterday's growth scan my AFI was 22.8 which is upper limit of normal range. I have been diagnosed with GD at 24 weeks and since then i was on glycomet SR 500 after dinner only. But after this scan my gynae asked me to increase the medicine in morning too for better sugar control. What can i do to control this situation? I m already walking after meals Can it cause pre term delivery? Kindly suggest

Increased AFI is usually seen with patients having GDM. Yes, there is a risk of preterm labour. Do regular FBS PPBS levels and plan to switch to Insulin if required. Keep monitoring fetal movements daily, should have at least 10 movements in 12hrs.
Next Steps
Daily fetal movement count, Daily brisk walking for 20-30 min, follow diabetic diet, review SOS at hospital
